School Library Month (SLM)
The
American Association of School Librarians' (AASL) is celebrating school
librarians and their programs. Every April school librarians are
encouraged to create activities to help their school and local
communities celebrate the essential role that strong school library
programs play in a student's educational career. The 2015 celebration
marks the 30th anniversary of School Library Month! The theme of this year's School Library Month is Your School Library Where Learning Never Ends®.
We
recognize the contribution of school libraries and their
teacher-librarians to the individual growth and development of all
students while fostering both excellence and equity in education. Please
join us in celebrating the unique learning environments and
opportunities available to our students and communities through the work
of school librarians @ their libraries.
